Monday

I started back today, which is a really good feeling. I like knowing that i'm actually going to be doing something with my time rather than just sitting in bed all day watching daytime TV.
Today after coming out of uni i went for a coffee with neil, which looks as if it's going to become a regular occurance, i don't see enough of everyone so hopefully this'll help :)
Speaking of Neil, we're both very looking forward to the Blood of Apocalypse series in X-men which starts next month, not sure when it ships but we'll both be reading it! We know who's going to be death, but we don't know who the other horsemen are, and i cannot wait to find out!

back tomorrow

Well tomorrow is coming, Aga knows i've been waiting long enough to start back!

I now have a philosophy tutorial at 11. which means i'll have to leave the house earlier on a monday than i did last semester, i can live with that. It looks like my FP2 is clashing with my EU studies tuesday lecture, i'll have to see what can be done about that.

Hopefully tomorrow will run smoothly, and i will be able to figure out wi-fi.

I want university to start back, now.
I need to get my routine back, and i need to feel like i'm actually doing something. Right now it seems as if i'm sitting turning into some sort of human vegetable, like a giant turnip or something stupid like that. Shockingly the urge to do some work has come to me, maybe it's because of the lack of Subway hours i'm getting at the minuite (only 14 hours again this week), who knows.

Speaking of subway i've decided, yet again, not to look for another job, because i'm begining to enjoy my job again, the people are really nice and now that Tadas is back things are running really smoothly, which is one less thing for me to worry about. I do love January in Subway, it's always so dead.

Some more pics of X3 have surfaced online, it seems to be one of the constant talking points with me and neil which is great. He and Lauren seem to be really into X-men, i can't remember Kerry's opinion but it's safe to say that Jenny doesn't give a flying fuck lol. Neil if you're reading this we're going to see X3 twice on the day it's released...you've been warned i'm not going alone, we have to see if the reports of Stacy X are true!

And tomorrow Jenny and i are having a "jenny and david day" we're going to dinner then out to see Geisha, should be lots of fun :)

i just typed www.goneandromeda.blogspot.com into my browser to check the comments on my blog.
what did i find
my blog did not come up, instead i was faced with a page of complete Christian end of days bullshit.
i'm pissed off, i may even end up changing the url and name of my blog.

EDIT
*
ok just rechecked this, and i actually typed www.goneandromeda.blogpot.com
too close for my liking, are the God squad out to convert me?

Neil did not know Cher had a daughter!
Didn't everyone?

Well Jenny doesn't know important things like Heather Mills is actually Heather Mills-McCartney.

SOMA's Jake interview

As we all know i've gone completely cowboy mad since the release of Brokeback Mountian. There's something about the sight of a beautiful man in dirty jeans that makes me swoon,
so go here for SOMA's Jake Gyllenhaal interview.

Yesterday

yesterday has got to be labeled as one of the weirdest days of my life, and i mean that in such a great way.

First to all i knew i was going to be getting up early to go to town and watch Brokeback Mountain. so i got up and headed into town, i got my pay and spent a little (a lot!) of money on myself then made the trek round to Vue. saddly when i got there i found that the 1st screening wasn't until 1:30, for some reason i thought it was at 11:15. to cut a long story short i came back in for the 1:30 showing, there were 5 people there. me and four others, most of us had went alone apart from one couple. i knew that this movie would be emotional to watch, from reading the book i knew i would be crying like a baby. I wasn't disapointed by it in the slightest, and i will be complaining if Heath Ledger doesn't win an oscar for his role. the ending is heartbreaking, truly sad, and for all those critics out there who think that a 'gay cowboy movie' can't work and will only speak to all us sodomites i say bite the bullet and give this movie a shot.

After that and the subsequent contemplative walk back into town, i went to work. i don't think i need to go into detail about the glorious subway.

after my shift i went to my uncles 50th birthday party, it was in a pub just off the shankhill road. i know, me in a pub just off the shankhill road, i never thought it would happen either. it turned out to be soo much fun, all my family were there and we all drank so much. good to see all the family in the one place, now i can't wait till Darren and Naomi's wedding. me enthusiastic about a heterosexual union! who'd have thought!

new year. post 1

My first post of the new year, and i can't believe that it's taken me this long to do it. Truth be told i shouldn't be posting this minute anyway, i'm in the middle of a long over due cleaning spree. My bed's at a really awkward angle making it impossible to walk from one side of my bedroom to the other and there are countless bits of probably important paperwork covering my floor. But i will get back to it after this.

Yesterday was fun, stayed in bed till about 12 then took soooo long to get ready, headed into town and spent £50 on books. For some reason i've got the urge to go to Tokyo, i even looked on Expedia to find out roughly how much it would cost to go. Sad isn't it, fact of the matter is it'll be at least another year until i could even think of going to Tokyo, and even then it probably wouldn't happen. So to satisfy my Japanese urge i bought a couple of books to help, one called Tokyo which is the best thing i've read in a long time, and another called In the Miso Soup which is a translation from Japanese which i haven't started yet but will very soon. I also bought American Gods by Neil Gaiman, i always thought it sounded like his best book, yet its one of his that i've never read. The last book i bought, well not really a book, was the graphic novel V for Vendetta which i've read the first couple of pages of, it's quite intriguing, i can't make a judgment till i've read more.

On the topic of books, i've finally read Brokeback Mountain. I read it all in work on Sunday, i had to hold back the tears. It's a powerful little book, let's just hope that it translates well on the big screen. Thanks to Lauren for lending me it :)

I'm afraid i must get going to clean the rest of my room, but who knows maybe this will be a 2 post day.
